I just installed the editor today. I opened it, added a planet... expected a ball, got a... something. Looks like a potato on drugs or something. The aspect ratio is all wrong.

Greetings Zuka,
Welcome to Geist3D!
Before anything, we would like you to properly introduce yourself before posting something, that will help us to get to know you and be better to help better.
Now, the formalities put aside...
Yes you're right, the aspect ratio is wrong, I also complained about it, and till now the problem was never solved. But you have to take into  account that we have one person work at full steam on the Editor, pulling out Demos almost weekly. For now he's got more serious issues to worry about, you can drag the 3d view to adjust the aspect ratio manually.
In any case this problem will be soon solved and we'll all gonna be happy for a while!

Keep it coming!

Hmm, I thought I fixed that. As far as I know it should be screenx/screeny. Anyways, I will look into it again... stay tuned.

He, no need for intros! I am happy as long as I get bug reports... don't care where they are from Smiley

Ok, I just fixed !! It's not screenx/screeny, its screeny/screenx. This is quite and improvement. Can't believe it took me so long. Round things are now truly round and the shambler is much slimmer. This change will eventually trickle into the next download.

Awesome. Can't wait for the next release. This seems like a pretty cool game. If I can find the latest source (SVN, right?), I'll make some scene nodes or whatever they're called.

I can't believe you made a planet renderer and you didn't notice your planets were OVALS. You really came this far with a screwed up aspect ratio...?

I haven't thought of that yet... maybe. It shouldn't be too difficult.

I know about that problem. This only happens on NVIDIA cards. A fix is in the pipeline.

I too have this problem with the editor, have the download been updated since this was brought up?

I would really like to play around a little with the editor but it's hard when everything looks out of proportions Smiley

I downloaded the editor today and the render is definitely stretched.
